GAME: Ultimate TYPE: Invasion/Territorial

QEP: Roles, passing object to teammates, attacking other teams’ goal, protecting own territory, etc.
DESCRIPTION
Layer 1: Students are placed into groups of 3-5 and are given a ball. Without locomotion, students must experiment different ways of passing to each other. They must practice keeping possession as well.
Layer 2: Students are allowed to locomote. Students must pass to each other while going forward. They must practice directionality and getting open.
Layer 3: Two teams are put together in order to form a 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5 game. Objective is to pass the ball to each other and get across to the other team’s end zone. Students are not allowed to locomote anymore (only pivot) and must complete 5 passes before scoring. Last touch possession is applied. Defence may only apply warm defence on the offence. If a team scores, the ball is given to the other team.
Layer 4: Students must catch the ball when passing. If dropped, goes to the other team. No specific amount of passes required before scoring.
MODIFICATIONS:
- Different balls or throwing objects can be used (rugby, Frisbee, etc).
- Playing surface can be modified.
- 3 steps rule.
SAFETY:
- No contact or stripping of ball.
- Eye contact when passing.
- Aware of others.
