In defending mode, students stay close to their noodle/hoop and stop balls, and if acquiring ball, then go on offensive. If the noodle is knocked down, the student must take their noodle and hoop, and go to a new destination within the playing surface. Once they set up, they are back in the game. To begin, two foam balls are set in play.
Layer 2: Once target is knocked down, player must take their hoop and noodle to the other student who knocked theirs down and set up their (two people to defend two hoops and noodles). Now being part of that group, students can decide to implement attackers and defenders. A new foam ball is added.
