Welcome to Christopher McNeil's Games Resource!
This website contains numerous fun filled activities and lesson plans that are guided towards teaching in Elementary and Secondary physical activity settings. These activities and lesson plans are based on the Quebec Education Program and its three competencies: to perform movements in various activity settings, to interact with others and to adopt a healthy active lifestyle.
As an aspiring Physical Educator, I am glad to share the knowledge that I have acquired at McGill University in the Physical and Health Education program. I hope that these activities will assist you in teaching students the importance of being engaged in an active lifestyle.
Through these games, students will be able to obtain the essential knowledge, strategies, motor skills and ethical behaviours relating to physical activity that are applicable to individual and team sports. The "Teaching Games For Understanding" approach that these games and lessons were designed with allow students to experience psychomotor, cognitive and affective benefits.
Not only will your students acquire certain skills and/or tactics through developmentally appropriate lessons, students will be able to demonstrate understanding and utilise fair play and good sportsmanship towards both teammates and opponents.
Thank you and please enjoy this online games resource!
